About The Design Team

The product design team is currently made up of three experienced and senior designers. They own the entire design process, from problem exploration to final implementation. They work in small project teams (product/design/eng) at the moment and will shift toward product teams as the team scales.

Oh, and they're a friendly bunch who are excited to work with someone who loves to lead teams and drive products forward

The design team is expected to double over a ~6 month period.

How Will I Make An Impact?

 

Lead design across whole product areas – working with product and engineering to define and shape the direction of the product
 

Execute design from an idea → talking to customers/team members to gain a deeper understanding → framing it as a problem to be solved → mapping out and designing a solution → working with engineering to ship the feature
 

Utilize and contribute to the design system to quickly design intuitive products
 

Help shape the team, its processes and culture
 

Manage yourself cross-functionally in a remote-first environment

The Process:

 

After chatting with myself, Ashley, the process is:
 

1. An initial call with Stef or Rishi, On Deck’s Product Leads, to learn more about your experience 

2. A one-hour interview consisting of a 10-minute presentation of a recent project, and a 45-minute Q+A with future team members. You will also be asked to submit your portfolio for the team to review. 

3. A final call 
    

And of course, your Artemis Canada Recruitment Consultant, Ashley, will work closely with you throughout every step of the process.
