Tech for Good Feature

It’s client love time, where we highlight one of our incredible clients: what they do, why we’re excited to partner with them, the good they’re putting into the world, and what we're working on together!

Who?

Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI)

Where?

Founded and headquartered in Waterloo, Ontario, CIGI fosters a global impact through its research network. Employees enjoy a hybrid work environment, with a collaborative campus as their hub and a global reach for engagement and influence.

What do they do?

CIGI is an independent, non-partisan think tank dedicated to delivering world-leading research and foresight on transformative technologies like AI, data governance, and their societal implications. By bridging the gap between innovation and governance, CIGI influences policymakers to create a future where technology empowers economies, strengthens security, and upholds democracy.

Our partnership origin story

CIGI approached us with a bold vision: to find a leader who could amplify their groundbreaking work in governance innovation. We’re thrilled to help shape their team with an extraordinary Director of Communications & Public Affairs to extend their impact globally.

What we’re working on

We’re looking for a Director of Communications & Public Affairs to join the CIGI team! Reporting directly to the President, you’ll drive strategies that strengthen CIGI’s brand and influence internationally.

You’ll oversee teams responsible for media relations, digital marketing, content, and events while shaping government relations strategies and amplifying CIGI’s cutting-edge research.

Our ideal candidate has experience in:

  • Strategic communications, government relations, and digital marketing.

  • Managing diverse, high-performing teams in innovative environments.

  • Building impactful relationships with global media, policymakers, and thought leaders.

We’re open to candidates who can work in a hybrid role in Waterloo, Ontario, with a minimum of two in-office days per week.

This is a high-impact role with an organization that’s shaping the future of global technology governance. If this sounds like you or someone you know, reach out to carly@artemiscanada—we’d love to hear from you!
