TECH FOR GOOD- BioIntelligence Technologies

It’s client love time, where we highlight one of our incredible clients: what they do, why we’re excited to partner with them, the good they’re putting into the world, and what we're working on together!

Who?

Where?

Founded and headquartered in Sherbrooke, Quebec, with staff in Toronto, Montreal, and beyond.

What do they do?

BioIntelligence Technologies helps biotech companies reduce water and energy consumption (one of the biggest challenges in biotech to date) while also increasing performance. Their technology monitors the metabolic activity of cells and bacteria in real time, giving operators and production managers advanced analytics, alarms, and notifications on performance. This is game-changing for producers of industrial biochemical, biofuel, food additives, biofertilizers, and more. Without actionable insights, biotech companies need to take many, many samples and test them with offline instruments. That means delays, low conversions, and a lack of consistency. It also exacerbates water and energy consumption, and as a company working with some of the biggest industrial companies in the world, BioIntelligence Technologies knows that reducing that consumption is going to be instrumental in combatting the climate crisis.

Our partnership origin story:

We were introduced to CEO and Founder Joel Sirois by our supporter Daniel Armali, Partner at Amplify Capital. We had recently wrapped up some work with another one of Amplify’s portfolio companies (you might recall our past Tech-for-Good feature on Uvaro!). Our track record of helping founders with those tricky but critical early leadership hires with purpose-driven organizations made us a great fit for what Joel was looking for. The bioprocessing space is niche; compound that with the need to find a startup leader and some other niche requirements, and we had ourselves the type of needle-in-a-haystack search that we enjoy the most!

What we’re working on:

We’re seeking a Director Enterprise Sales to join the BioIntelligence Technologies team. Reporting directly to CEO and Founder Joel Sirois, you’ll focus on growing BioIntelligence’s revenue by building a portfolio of high-reward customers as both a hunter and farmer. You’ll be a player/coach - starting out solo, but after the commercialization strategy is set, there's an opportunity to help build out the team.

Our ideal candidate has experience managing complex, highly technical B2B sales with large multinational customers in the bioprocessing (or adjacent) industry. You enjoy building out sales strategy, processes, and playbooks and you have experience at a startup or scaleup (or you have intrapreneurial experience building from scratch).

We’re open to candidates in Europe, Canada, or the US!

If this sounds like you or someone you know, Carly would love to hear from you!
