Head of Sales - North America - Klaus
Estonia-based Klaus is crossing the Atlantic! We’re looking for an ambitious Head of Sales to be our first leadership hire in North America.
Having just raised our Series A (12M Euros), Klaus is growing fast and you’ll be joining a remote sales team to catapult our growth in Canada and the United States. As the first hire, we’re looking for management experience since you will help scale and lead our NA sales team.
Klaus is an AI-powered platform for improving customer
service. In 2017, Klaus was founded in response to a pain point our Co-Founders (Martin Kõiva and Kair Käsper) experienced firsthand while working together at a leading CRM startup, Pipedrive.
North America is already one of our fastest-growing markets, accounting for sizeable revenue, and this leader will have an opportunity to be very successful & instrumental in Klaus’ growth.
How Will I Make An Impact?

Initially running the full sales cycle from discovery to signature.

Managing inbound ops and building an outbound pipeline, targeting enterprise companies across North America

Building our NA network through partnerships and events

You’ll travel to meet clients and attend events

Hiring and leading a sales team in North America - slowly moving from a player/coach to a purely managerial role

Reporting to our Global Head of Sales in Amsterdam, your experienced colleagues hark from companies like Pipedrive, SurveyMonkey, Microsoft, and Zendesk. Klaus is a remote-first company with a team spanning Europe (and expanding!).
How Do I Know If This Is For Me?
We’re looking for a leader who's experienced growth stage and can drive enterprise business in North America. Currently North America accounts for sizable revenue and we’re excited to establish a team here. We’d love to bring on a leader who can take ownership, work autonomously + in sync with our global leader, and build the NA Sales team. A builder at heart who can be that player coach and set in place systems for scale.
Our Ideal Candidate Looks Like:

Experience with enterprise full-cycle SaaS sales in the US & Canada

Proven experience hiring and leading sales teams to success

Proven track record of closing deals with a range of enterprise verticals and managing multiple levels of stakeholders

Confidence managing a team to drive outbound pipeline - from designing and implementing a target account strategy to helping create and deliver a creative approach

Eagerness to collaborate with marketing to define and execute successful campaigns/events

Understanding of the value of partnerships within our ecosystem, agencies, and the customer service community

Data-driven approach - maintaining high CRM standards to identify improvements and understand success

Excellent verbal and written communication skills (we work in English)

Experience working remotely

Is located within the Toronto area

Preferred: Experience in CX and tolerant of cat puns
