How Will I Make An Impact?

We’re a small and tight team, and everyone’s contribution is critical to our success and that of our client partners. The bar is high and the standards for integrity, performance and service delivery are uncompromising. In this role you will:

 

  • Master the art of executive talent sourcing the Artemis Way -  learn how to identify candidates to support our search for the best talent in Canada and globally. 

  • You’ll build a deep understanding of how a Canadian tech company grows their business; how they build strong teams, evolve their business processes, raise capital, develop products and build a customer base.

  • You’ll get to know many of the leaders in Canada’s tech community, connecting with them professionally and personally as they build careers and companies.

  • You’ll identify potential candidates, and build a rich data repository of companies and communities of talent. You’ll identify market trends and help us map out the most valuable and scarce talent in tech

  • You’ll assist as we market both Artemis and our clients, using social media and web

  • You’ll participate in client meetings and candidate evaluations, working closely with the team and learning at every opportunity

How Do I Know If This Is For Me?

  • You are ready to learn - a lot. You’ll need to understand our business, and the business of our clients, and the challenges and opportunities that have brought them to us. You will learn about the business of running a tech company, by learning how each role fits together. Bring lots of curiosity and it will be rewarded!

  • You are passionate about connecting with people, and are a nature rapport builder

  • You understand the tenacity and resilience needed to succeed in a fast-paced business and are excited to unleash your potential

  • You have a proven interest in the business of technology and you know about the dynamics of the tech sector.

Do I Have What it Takes (Requirements):

  • Your education is ideally in business, tech or a related discipline.

  • You are well organized and detail-oriented

  • You are creative & resourceful and can quickly grasp trends, and new ideas 

  • You are a confident and authentic communicator - with experience in customer-facing role 

  • You are a self-starter and can drive projects with little to no supervision

  • You have several years of experience working in and around the tech ecosystem, either in a tech company or in an organization that supports the tech community

  • You are relentlessly curious - about people, ideas and finding the best solution to a problem

  • You are compassionate and can connect deeply and build trust with the people you work with

The Process:

While the process may evolve, the general steps look like:

  • Initial Call with our Sr. People and Culture Strategist: We want to get to know you better and answer any initial questions you may have.

  • Video Call with the Hiring Manager: We want to understand your working style and give you an idea of what the day to day in this role would look like.

  • Meet more of the team: Get to know some of your potential future colleagues and get a feel of our culture.

  • Assignment: We’ll send you a fun and light assignment. The goal of the assignment is to give you a taste of what it’s like to lead an executive search (we’re hoping it gets you excited about what we do!).
