​​How Will I Make An Impact?

As the DevOps Manager, you will play a critical role in transforming their infrastructure to ensure it scales efficiently while reducing costs. You’ll take ownership of the DevOps and Data Acquisition teams, focusing on optimizing cloud services and enhancing security protocols and supporting their transition to a more mobile-first product. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll mentor your team, driving a shift from order-taking to proactive decision-making. You will also collaborate closely with the VP of Engineering and interface with the CEO on hardware and mobile capture initiatives, helping shape the future of our product offerings.

How Do I Know If This Is For Me?

This role is perfect for you if you thrive in environments that require strong technical acumen and problem-solving skills. You’re excited by the challenge of tackling technical debt, scaling systems, and making sense of a "hot mess" to create a streamlined, efficient infrastructure. If you have a background in GO, C++, NodeJS, or Python, are familiar with AWS and GCP, and have a strong understanding of OS concepts, this could be your next big opportunity. You’ll need to be comfortable working in a highly collaborative environment, and you should be prepared to be on-site 3-5 days a week.​

Our Ideal Candidate Looks Like:

• Product management experience, with a proven track record of successfully scaling cloud-based SaaS products.

• Strong understanding of the SaaS industry, including knowledge of market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs.

• Demonstrated experience in managing the full product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and iteration.

• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

• Analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to decision-making.

• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.

• Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.

• Ability to come into the Waterloo office 3-4 times a week​

3. Follow-up, meet other members of the leadership team
