For investors, TCA provides a monthly yield-based return with upside capital gain potential, by providing Revenue-Based Financing to technology companies in Canada and the United States.
The company is made up a handful of experienced technology investors, looking to support early-stage companies with creative financing solutions. They have plans to grow their portfolio across Canada and the US, and as such are looking for an individual to lead the marketing function.
What you’ll be doing…
For the first 12 months, you’ll focus on driving awareness and leads, ensuring that every tech company in the target market considers TIMIA when thinking about raising capital.
You’ll work with the leadership team to define a marketing strategy that will generate brand and solution awareness for TIMIA within the target market (young tech companies with $1M-$10M in recurring revenue).
You’ll develop digital and traditional marketing campaigns across multiple platforms including, TIMIA events and webinars, participating in industry events, email campaigns, development of social media content and management of social channels, etc.
You’ll incorporate marketing into TIMIA everyday activities
You will develop and deliver on lead generation and referral initiatives, measuring and managing key metrics.
You’ll participate in industry events and develop business contacts in the tech ecosystem.

You are proactive, innovative and passionate about the startup space, and eager to be part of an important change that TIMIA is driving.
You understand multi-channel marketing, how to develop and manage content strategies and are confident in your ability to reach our target audience through digital and traditional platforms. This includes SEO and social media, so you must be a savvy web marketer.
You are ready to roll up your sleeves and get things done as part of a small team.
You have at least 5 years experience running marketing activities in an entrepreneurial environment.
You have skills as a writer and communicator, and can generate content and present concepts creatively and from differing perspectives.
You work in and around the tech community and/or the finance sector.
You don’t require daily supervision or management, and prefer to take ownership of an objective and manage the tactics to achieving the goal.
You are excited about the world of technology and are excited to be immersed in the start-up ecosystems across North America.
This role may require some travel, but can be based from your home office anywhere in North America – as long as you have a great wifi connection!
There is flexibility for this to be structured as a 3-4 day/week role.
